The Long Walk to "Freedom"

That certainly is a misnomer this morning, by all accounts of experienced parents :)

Sadly, we weren't told to get pre-authorisation so now we have a slight pickle. Not a big pickle; more like a cocktail onion pickle rather than a spicy gherkin pickle. At any rate, I've secured Kat a private ward at extra cost (R1030 extra!!) but it's worth it, especially if we need some time together to adjust to any potential complications.
